Introducing Winter of Witches – Our 3 Month Long Celebration of All Things Witchy

Join us this winter as we celebrate all things witchy (mythology and folklore, books and literature, art, film and television, music and poetry) here at Dark Side University.

We’ll read books about witches, listen to witchy music, watch films and TV shows about witches, study witches in art, try our hand at writing witchy stories and poetry, and explore the mythology, lore and history of witches and witchcraft.

We’ll begin our winter of witchcraft on December 1, 2020. Our witchy explorations will continue throughout January 2021 and February 2021. We’ll cozy up by our fireplaces, staving off the bitter winter in quarantine ahead with steaming mugs of hot tea and/or coffee, blazing fireplaces, and a long reading list to dive into.

Our first Winter of Witches Book Club read is “The Age of Witches” (via Amazon; affiliate link) by Louisa Morgan. We’ll read and discuss it in December 2020.

Our second Winter of Witches Book Club read will be in January 2021: “Magic Lessons,” by Alice Hoffman (via Amazon; affiliate link). It’s a prequel to her book “Practical Magic.”

In February 2021, we’ll finish our Winter of Witches with another witchy Dark Side Book Club pick, “The Once and Future Witches,” (via Amazon; affiliate link) by Alix E. Harrow.
